The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) is a global forum comprising the presidents, chairpersons and CEOs of companies involved in the travel and tourism industry.

Established in 1990, headquartered in LondonEngland, this private organization works with governments around the world, helping them realize the full economic impact of tourism. Its members are executives from all branches of the tourism sector. The department that focuses on tourism's human resources is located in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The World Travel and Tourism Council currently has 100 members.

The Chairman is Geoffrey Kent (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Abercrombie & Kent Group of Companies), and the President is Jean-Claude Baumgarten, who was appointed in 1999.

The WTTC organises a yearly summit, the Global Travel & Tourism Summit which has been held in various locations including Washington, Doha and New Delhi. The 2007 Summit was held in Lisbon, attracting over 700 delegates from the public and private sector. Delegates included heads of government (Prime Ministers of Portugal and Namibia), cabinet ministers and ambassadors from various countries, as well as leading executives from the travel and tourism industry. The WTTC also announces the winners of the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards at this annual summit.
